Why look for a Tidio alternative

Tidio is centered on the website. Its live chat widget, ticketing and Lyro AI agent are the core, and Instagram is one of several connected channels. If most of your customer conversations begin on Instagram posts and Reels rather than on a website, you may not use much of what you are paying for.

Tidio counts three things separately: billable conversations handled by people, Lyro AI conversations and Flows visitors. GetChat counts one: automated conversations a month, where one person going through one automation counts once.

We did not find an automatic comment-to-DM feature or a follow check on Tidio's official pages. Both are on every GetChat plan, including Free.

A comment on your post or Reel can trigger a DM with a link, buttons, a photo or video on every GetChat plan, with a follow check before the final message.

Story reply, mention and reaction triggers are on every plan too; Pro and Growth add a reminder DM to people who did not finish.

When Tidio is the better fit

You need a live chat widget on your website. Tidio is built around one; GetChat has none.

You want AI to answer customer questions, or a person to take over in an inbox. Tidio has Lyro and a shared inbox; GetChat has neither.

You support customers on WhatsApp, Messenger or email as well as Instagram. Tidio connects all of them; GetChat does not offer WhatsApp, Messenger or email.

You use Zapier or a store platform integration. Tidio lists Zapier and an API; GetChat has no Zapier listing or public API, only a Webhook step that posts each automation event to your URL.

Pricing explained

According to its pricing page (checked October 2026), Tidio has a Free plan with 50 billable conversations. Starter is $29/month billed monthly or $24.17/month billed annually for 100 billable conversations. Growth starts at $59/month monthly or $49.17/month annually for 250 conversations and goes up with volume. Plus starts at $300/month plus usage. The Lyro AI agent comes with 50 free conversations once; after that you buy a monthly Lyro quota (the page lists tiers from 50 to 1,000 conversations a month). Flows have their own visitor quota. Paid plans have a 7-day trial without a card.

GetChat charges by automated conversations, not by seats or AI usage: Free includes 300 a month, Pro 5,000 ($12 a month or $120 a year) and Growth 25,000 ($29 a month or $288 a year). Free has no time limit and needs no card; GetChat has no trial.

Switching from Tidio to GetChat

• Rebuild your Instagram Flows as GetChat automations (comment, DM keyword, story or reaction triggers) and check each reply's links and buttons.
• Answers Lyro gave from your knowledge base have no GetChat equivalent; keep Tidio for them, or turn the most common questions into keyword triggers with fixed replies.
• Reconnect Instagram with Meta login and disconnect it from Tidio, so both tools do not answer the same DM.
• If you keep Tidio for website chat, plan who handles which channel. Conversation history does not move between the tools.
