Why look for a Manychat alternative

Channel scope is the first difference. Manychat lets you connect Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp, Messenger, Telegram, SMS and email, with the number of channels capped by plan (two on Free and Essential, three on Pro); WhatsApp, SMS and email can only be connected on Pro and above. GetChat covers Instagram only. If Instagram is where your customers comment, you are not paying for channel capacity you will not use.

The pricing unit is different. Manychat counts every person you interact with in a month as an active contact and charges a per-contact fee above the plan's allowance. GetChat counts automated conversations: one person going through one automation, with everything sent to them within 24 hours of the first message counted once. Free includes 300 a month, Pro 5,000 and Growth 25,000.

The free plans are built differently. Manychat's Free plan allows up to 4 active automations and does not include the Follower Status Check, which starts on Essential. Where GetChat fits

A creator or shop that posts Reels and answers 'price?' or 'link?' comments can set one comment-to-DM automation: the comment triggers a DM with a button, and the link, photo or video is delivered after the tap.

If the offer is meant for followers, the follow check sits before the final message on every plan, including Free: someone who does not follow yet is asked to follow first.

On Pro and Growth, people who start and do not finish get a reminder DM, sent inside the window in which Instagram allows messages, and the 'via GetChat' branding is removed.

When Manychat is the better fit

According to its pricing page (checked 13 October 2026, prices for new accounts), Manychat has a Free plan with 25 active contacts per month, then Essential at $17/month ($14/month billed annually), Pro at $39/month ($29 annually), Business at $99/month ($69 annually) and Advanced at $199/month ($139 annually). Each paid plan includes a set number of active contacts and charges a per-contact fee beyond that. Users, channels and inbox seats also rise with the plan, and extra inbox seats cost $25 each on Pro, Business and Advanced. Prices exclude tax and vary by billing country.

GetChat prices plans by automated conversations a month, not by contacts or seats: Free is $0 with 300, Pro costs $12 a month ($120 a year) with 5,000 and 2 Instagram accounts, and Growth $29 a month ($288 a year) with 25,000 and 5 accounts. Every plan allows unlimited active automations.

The two units are not the same: Manychat counts a person once a month however many flows they enter, while GetChat counts each automation a person goes through. Compare both against your own monthly numbers rather than the headline prices.

Switching from Manychat to GetChat

• Rebuild each automation in GetChat: comment keywords, post or Reel selection, DM text, link buttons and any follow-check step. Manychat flows are not imported.
