Quick answer: GetChat or Crisp?
- What Crisp does well
- Crisp combines a website chat widget, shared inbox, knowledge base and AI agent, and prices per workspace rather than per seat.
- Where GetChat overlaps
- Crisp and GetChat both connect to Instagram DMs and can reply without a person typing: Crisp through its chatbot and AI agent, GetChat through keyword and comment automations.
- The main tradeoff
- Crisp covers web chat, email and WhatsApp with a team inbox, but Instagram needs Essentials; GetChat adds comment-to-DM and a follow check but has no inbox, AI, web chat or WhatsApp.
- Who should consider each
- Crisp suits a team whose customers write from a website and several messengers; GetChat suits a seller or creator whose customers come from Instagram posts and stories.

Why look for a Crisp alternative
In Crisp, Instagram is one integration in a broader inbox. Its help center places Instagram on the Essentials plan, with one account included, and describes DMs and story reactions. We did not find automatic comment-to-DM or a follow check. Those are the core of GetChat's Instagram tools.
Crisp prices per workspace with a set number of seats and AI credits that run out by usage. GetChat has no seats or AI credits: plans include 300, 5,000 or 25,000 automated conversations a month and 1, 2 or 5 Instagram accounts.
Crisp includes Instagram from Essentials at $95 a month. GetChat includes its Instagram automations on every plan, Free included; Pro costs $12 a month ($120 a year) and Growth $29 a month ($288 a year).
Where GetChat fits
GetChat sends a DM to everyone who comments a keyword on a post or Reel, on every plan, and can check for a follow before the reward goes out.
Story replies, story mentions and reactions can start an automation; Pro and Growth add a reminder DM for people who did not finish.
Contacts from automations are saved with tags and follow status, exportable as CSV, and a Webhook step can post each automation event to your own system.
When Crisp is the better fit
You want a chat widget on your website, plus email, WhatsApp, Messenger, Telegram, SMS, LINE or Viber in the same inbox. Crisp covers these; GetChat does not.
You want a free shared inbox and chat widget for two people. Crisp's Free plan offers that.
You need a knowledge base, ticketing, a status page or a help center alongside chat. Crisp includes these in its suite.
You connect other tools through Zapier, Make, n8n or an API. Crisp lists all of these; GetChat has no public API or Zapier listing; it sends each automation event to your own URL through a Webhook step.
You want an AI agent that answers from a knowledge base, with a team that takes over. GetChat has no AI replies and no inbox.
