Why look for a Hootsuite alternative

Hootsuite is a broad suite. Most of its plan price pays for publishing, listening, analytics and team workflows. If the part you actually use is Instagram comment-to-DM, a tool that does only that is a narrower thing to set up and pay for.

Hootsuite prices each user seat, according to its plans page, and DM automations start on the Professional tier. GetChat has no seats; its plans are priced by automated conversations a month, and comment-to-DM is on Free.

According to Hootsuite's plans page (checked October 2026), Standard is $99, Professional $199 and Advanced $399 per user per month, billed annually; Enterprise is a custom quote. Monthly billing is available at a higher per-user rate. Prices are in USD and exclude taxes. There is a 14-day trial without a card.

DM automations and keyword auto-responses are listed from Professional, and message assignment from Advanced, so the tier you need depends on which inbox features you use.

GetChat has no per-seat price. Free is $0 with 300 automated conversations a month, Pro $12 a month ($120 a year) with 5,000, and Growth $29 a month ($288 a year) with 25,000; every plan allows unlimited active automations. Free has no time limit and needs no card.
