What is GetChat?
GetChat (getchat.io) is a no-code tool for Instagram comment-to-DM automation. When someone comments a keyword under your post or Reel, replies to your story or sends a keyword in Direct, GetChat automatically sends them a private message with your text and buttons, can check that they follow you before sending the link or offer, and saves them as a contact. It works with Business and Creator accounts through Instagram's official API. The Free plan includes 300 automated conversations a month.

How it works
Connect Instagram
Connect a Business or Creator account in Instagram's own login window. GetChat never sees your password, and no Facebook Page is needed.
Pick a trigger
A keyword in comments under one post or Reel or under any post, a keyword in Direct, a story reply or mention, or a reaction.
Write the reply
Text and buttons with your links, and if you like a public reply under the comment.
Add a follow check (optional)
The person taps “I followed”, GetChat asks Instagram, and the reward goes out only if Instagram confirms the follow.
Switch it on
Everyone who goes through it is saved as a contact with tags and follow status. Contacts export to CSV.
Keyword triggers
A trigger is the word or event that starts an automation. A comment trigger listens under one post or Reel, or under every post. A keyword can match when the comment contains it, only when the comment is exactly that word, or for any comment at all.
The first message to a commenter is what Instagram calls a private reply: text and buttons, with an image only as a card. Video and files can follow once the person replies or taps a button. You can also post a public reply under the comment, picked at random from up to 50 variants.
The follow check, honestly
Instagram does not tell anyone who follows whom when a person only comments. So GetChat asks when the person taps the button in the DM: it reads Instagram's own answer for that person. If Instagram confirms the follow, the reward is sent. If not, or if Instagram does not say, they get your “follow first” message and can tap again.
The check is never made on the comment itself, and it is only as accurate as Instagram's answer.
Official Instagram API, no password
GetChat uses the Instagram API with Instagram Login, the official interface Meta provides for professional accounts. You approve access in Instagram's own window and can remove it at any time. GetChat asks only for the permissions it uses: basic profile, messages and comments.
What GetChat is not
- Not an AI chatbot: automations are rules you write (trigger, message, optional follow check). No plan a new account can get includes AI-written replies.
- Not a way to buy followers, likes or comments, and not a scraper or mass-DM tool for people who never wrote to you.
- Not an unofficial tool: it never logs in with your password.
- Not for personal Instagram accounts: Business or Creator only.
- Not a Meta partner or a Meta-certified product, and we do not claim to be.
- Not a Telegram, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger or TikTok tool, and not a shared team inbox.

Instagram's rules and GetChat's limits
GetChat works only with Instagram professional accounts and only within Instagram's messaging rules: one private reply per comment, sent within 7 days, and further messages only within 24 hours of the person's last message. It cannot message people who never commented or wrote, cannot detect a new follow on its own, and cannot guarantee delivery: Instagram may refuse a message, and GetChat records that. A post that takes off can make replies queue, because Instagram limits how many private replies an account sends per hour.

- Instagram's rules are cited from Meta's own developer documentation, linked where we use them.
- What GetChat does is checked against the product itself. Screens and chats built in our own app or with test accounts are labelled as examples, never presented as a customer's results.
- Every article shows when it was published and when its content was last updated. Comparison pages name their sources and the date each fact was checked.
- No paid placements, no invented customers, reviews or ratings. Articles are written by the GetChat team, not by named experts.
