Why look for a LinkDM alternative

The units differ. LinkDM's plans are sized by DMs sent: 1,000 a month on Free, 25,000 on Pro and 300,000 on Platinum+. GetChat counts automated conversations: one person going through one automation, with everything sent to them within 24 hours counted once. Free includes 300, Pro 5,000 and Growth 25,000.

The follow step differs. We found no official LinkDM page describing a follow check; its Pro plan lists a 'Follower Growth Tool' without details. GetChat checks the follow with Instagram's data before the final message, on every plan including Free.

According to LinkDM's pricing page (checked 16 October 2026), Free allows 1 Instagram account and up to 1,000 DMs a month. Pro is $19/month billed monthly or $182/year billed yearly, with 3 accounts and 25,000 DMs a month. Platinum+ is $99/month or $832/year, with 10 accounts and 300,000 DMs a month. Enterprise is quoted on request. No trial is mentioned; there is a free plan instead.

GetChat has Free ($0, 300 automated conversations a month, 1 Instagram account), Pro ($12 a month or $120 a year, 5,000 and 2 accounts) and Growth ($29 a month or $288 a year, 25,000 and 5 accounts). Every plan allows unlimited active automations. Free needs no card and has no time limit.

One GetChat conversation can include several DMs (the first message, the follow check, the link and a reminder), so a DM count and a conversation count are not the same number. Compare them using your own monthly volume.

Switching from LinkDM to GetChat

• Recreate each linked post in GetChat: the trigger type (keyword or any comment), the DM text and the link button, plus a follow check if you want one.
• Reconnect Instagram to GetChat through Meta login and unlink the same posts in LinkDM to avoid two DMs per comment.
• Export any leads collected through LinkDM forms, or confirm they are already in Kit or Flodesk, before cancelling.
• Facebook Page automations have no GetChat equivalent; keep another tool if you need them.
